The 2011 Melbourne Cup is only 5 days away and will take place on Tuesday 1st November 2011 at
Flemington Racecourse at 3:00pm. Here are some more racing tips to help you enjoy your racing day:
- Bring a water bottle and drink plenty of water. Our bodies are made up of 85% water: Men need to drink roughly 3 liters about 13 cups of water a day, and women need to drink around 2.2 liters about 9 cups of water a day.

Bring a elegant side bag to store your flat shoes, sandals or thongs. Heels dig into the fresh grass and dirt creating mud they can become uncomfortable quickly, bring a spare pair of slip on shoes in case you need them.
